(ENDE299) Q24 - Automatic Rorschach EP

Well it's our birthday and someone who's always celebrating whenever we check on in them. Not for any particular reason just y'know...celebratin!

They're usually celebratin whenever we check in or they have celebrated as in past tense. Sometimes they're late into celebrated and they PM us all out of the blue at 3am their time and asks us worldly questions like we're a magic 8 ball or foreign Siri and sometimes they just PM us to tell us about their latest band implosion or band birthing.

Well they're our very own Ivan Brunetti of noise. They're Q24. Once known as Greezus.

For the last few months they were threatening us with a new project of noise recordings fragmented into samples. Like we would get messages all I'LL FUCKIN DO IT!! I'LL SHOW THIS GODDAMN TRUMP MASK DENYING FUCKBOI LAND WHAT I CAN DO HELL SHIT YEAH FUCKIN !!! I'VE BEEN MAKING LIKE...SLICES AND PIECES AND UPLOADING THEM TO SOUNDCLOUD AND GODDAMITT IT'S GOING TO BE LIKE A BOOK OF NOISE PAGES THAT...

We did catch some if it and we are keen for this sample project they're workin on but for now...let's handle this...

We were both simultaneously intrigued and terrified of whatever Q24 would come up with deep in their basement of noise equipment, pedals, bass amps, black metal CDs and 90s commercial pop vinyl and clad usually only in a diaper fashioned out of an Emperor shirt, glittery nail polish and a bottle of vodka.

But regardless when we ask them to finish whatever they have promised and just give it to us already! They always comes through with the goods.

On "Automatic Rorshach EP" Q24 gives us more noise. duck noise, car noise, dental drill noise, this is for you annoying work colleague noise, what day is it noise, is this the same bottle I was drinking 10 minutes ago noise, WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT GUY STARING AT noise...just noise. But in their glitter dusted hands it is still enjoyable and unpredictable and repetitive and abstract and grating and fun and joyous and never gloomy. Just deliciously makes you feel like you come over all un-necessary!!!! and somewhat....sexy...like touch yourself sexy.... Such as on the first noise ballad surely ever made "Phuckin Gone"

You would probably have to be into noise to enjoy it and luckily you are otherwise you wouldn't be here.

Q24 performed a staggering live set for us at AFTER MIDNIGHT this time last year which had many tuning in with their jaws on the floor.

Once known as Greezus. Q24 is a breakcore producer, hardcore DJ and noise terrorist from the old definition. From a basement somewhere in middle Amerikka they wield analogue and digital weapons alike to create some incredible multi layered noisescapes and harsh, grating scores for a film that's too weird to make yet.
