DJSkein is an antimusic/noise/glitch artist from Perth Western Australia.

Influenced by the brief yet entertaining MSP/antimusic/glitch movement of the late 90s early 2000s pioneered by artists such as Jansky Noise, Trotters, 7U?, Null Object, Toecutter, Cock ESP and V/vm to name a few.

He's self released a few albums and EPs on his own label on Bandcamp but this is his first foray further into the world of breakcore and noise via ENDE Records.

this album was meant to be released back in 2019 but was a victim of ENDE'S unfortunate and regretful hiatus. NO MATTER!

DJSkein has arrived.

"Music To Do Nangs To" will remind you of all the horrible times you're taking hallucinogenics, inhalants and solvents and you're not entirely sure of what you're hearing.

Even the innocent and simplistic act of putting on a DVD or operating a cigarette lighter becomes...

'is it meant to do this?"

Anything from the horrors of having a television in a suburban home on to being in public at large events or worse a nightclub can really harsh your buzz and alter your perception of even the most nauseating and banal sounds of every day life such as traffic, nature, whatever this taxi driver is listening to or Taylor Swift.

DJSkein explores that altered mindset and those aural moments of dry eyed confusion, crawling skin and scattered sound drones and recreates them which nobody asked him to do but he did anyway.

to give away the theme of the album would rob you of the treasure you're about to hear. I'm sure many of you out there have been candyflipping and found yourself fried as a Yumbo and for some stupid reason now standing on the edge of the dancefloor at The Deen being subjected to fuck knows what these people listen to. But due to your enthusiastic and heroic handful of what you necked an hour ago it comes out...
