(ENDE272) Noistruct vs Crippling Self Doubt - Beating A Dead Horse

In 2017 Noistruct gave Scott Dryman (Crippling Self Doubt) a folder full of breaks and noises and told him to make an album with it.
6 months later he handed back a 90 minute continuous mindfuck for release on ENDE Records.

It was misplaced and forgotten about while both producers dealt with real life issues and their own usual music projects.
In 2019 it was found again and was intended to release as a single recording for maximum mental overload.

After ENDE shut down for 2 years it was forgotten about...again.

In 2020 it was again dug up and thought about. Both producers decided it had to be released as it was too unlistenable, perverted and confronting to not shove up the ass of the world. It was again forgotten about while the other real world issues took precedence.

In 2021 Noistruct decided it had to see the light of day and after another listen decided to cut it into single tracks for easier digestion since it's some of CSD's most personal and confronting work.

Unlike 2015's "Godwhores" collaboration album this was not a year of passing the recordings back and forward until it was something they liked.

This time around Noistruct gave a folder of loose created and manipulated breakbeat and noise samples and let Crippling Self Doubt create and complete in his own image.

All sounds in these recordings are created first with sounds by Noistruct and then manipulated and assembled by Crippling Self Doubt which he then refines and masters with his own sounds, samples, synths, bass and noises. The final result is something that represents both producers styles and themes.

Tracks have been mastered by Crippling Self Doubt and edited by Noistruct. So expect the usual short spurts of 909 kick drums, subversive samples, thick acid basslines, grating noise and offtime distorted breakbeats mashed together with black and blue humour and the occasional serious social commentary.
