Modular is an electronic producer from Perth Western Australia who is now based in Melbourne Victoria. He is one of the founders of the "Graylands" label/collective which also features previous ENDE Records contributor "Cambion"

"Beat Me Beautiful" is an EP that was originally released as a limited run CDR on Graylands in 2002 and is available digitally here for the first time since the CDR run sold out 14 years ago!

Modular's sound is an organic, freeflowing IDM/breakbeat hybrid with lush, well produced squelching synths and random electronic sounds that move around and through the beats. Inspired by the likes of Cevin Key, Plateau and 1990s analogue IDM. "Beat Me Beautiful" is a hark back the white label 12" you would find in experimental sections of small record stores.

These days Modular (Adam Boal) is a member of the Melbourne band "Kodiak Galaxy" but still dabbles in electronics from time to time.
