KILLJOY WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM DUE TO WORK COMMITMENTS

FFF (Netherlands)
The motherfuckin Triple Times F!!
FFF has been a mainstay of breakcore and ragga for nearly 25 years. One of the most recognised names, major contributors to the early European breakcore scene as one of the founders of Breakcore A Go Go Parties some 20 years ago with Bong Ra and all round nice guy.

He's released almost 70 singles, albums and EPs and collaborated with the likes of LFO Demon, DieTRAX and Coco Bryce. One of the most respected and revered ragga producers still working today beginning with his self produced independent cassette label "Orange Socks" in 1997 up to releases on Jungle Cat Recordings, PRSPCT and his own 3am Eternal.

FFF was someone we'd always wanted to work with at ENDE and we are eternally grateful to have him on board AFTER MIDNIGHT.

ENDUSER (USA)
Few American producers have lasted the distance like Enduser. From groundbreaking early breakcore releases in the early 2000s to becoming one of the worldwide powerhouses in drum n bass in the last decade.

Enduser has been running Sonicterror Recordings for the last 20 years with partner in crime Carl Sealey, toured the world, played with and collaborated with some of the biggest acts in the world and been a member of industrial supergroup "Blood Of Heroes" with Bill Laswell, JK Broadrick and Kurt Gluck of Submerged.

A much admired and respected producer and one of the nicest guys to deal with. Having released ENDE artists Noistruct and Erohypnos on Sonicterror and playing with Noistruct in 2005. ENDE asked him to contribute a set to AFTER MIDNIGHT and come play with us.

He said "sure why not" and dropped an astonishing 44 minute set in our laps.

DIN-ST (Germany)

Din-ST aka Frederik Stader is one of the pioneers of the original breakcore sound and is a versatile and skilled electronic producer to boot. Beginning with cassette releases on Midi War and singles on Spite Records (a label he co-ran with Patric Catani) and then releases on labels like Ambush Records and Kool.POP to name a few.

He has become one of the best electronic producers to emerge from that underground techno scene in Germany. Aside from Din-ST he's been a member of Fever with Paul Affeld on Digital Hardcore Recordings and Firewire and Whatever with the late Carl Crack (RIP) formerly of Atari Teenage Riot.

Now working mostly in vinyl mastering and sound engineering. He's a very busy man. But as one of our biggest influences we asked him if he would do a set for us and he said yes. Reviving the Din-ST moniker for the first time in 14 years!

The set he gave us was a brilliant example of how far he's come as a producer and contributor to underground electronic music. Absolutely staggering set.

We would like to thank Frederik for contributing for us. It meant a lot.

ANTI-KATI (New Zealand)
Anti-Kati are one of the original digital hardcore and breakcore pioneering duos of the Southern Hemisphere. As well as performing in New Zealand and Australia throughout the early 2000s after years of cassette and CDr releases on their own influential A-Klass Records and later God Rekidz labels.

They have crossed barriers and genres in noise, hardcore techno, hip hop and various other styles. A pair of light-hearted old friends. Anti-Kati was never afraid to try something different or go against the grain. Their contributions to the worldwide breakcore scene are too far reaching and important to list here. Great friends of ENDE Records and longtime associates in the breakcore scene. Their inclusion to the festival was a great privilege.

NOISTRUCT (Australia)
West Australian old school breakcore and hardcore! Over 20 years in the worldwide scene with more than 80 releases on dozens of labels including Sonicterror Recordings and Viral Conspiracy and his own label ENDE Records! Old school distorted breakbeats, warped samples and overdriven basslines! Co-founder and founder of two of the most well known labels in Australian breakcore 8-Bit Recordings and ENDE Records.

Noistruct has toured Australia multiple times and played with the likes of Scorn, Dylan, Limewax, Black Lung, Captain Raveman, Funksturong, Mark N, Tymon and Rob Swire.

For the breakcore night. Noistruct did a spontaneous, originally constructed live PA. Which is presented here uncut and live with all it's faults and successes.

CDR (Japan)
CDR is one of the most passionate, prolific and exciting producers to emerge from the Japanese breakcore scene. With more releases than can be counted including on his own label RDC Records. He has been producing for more than 20 years. Involved in a number of projects he is one of the few still producing and successful producers out there making the old school overdistorted amen break sound. Too many releases to name, too many pseudonyms to reference and too much reverence to acknowledge.

CDR is one of the few real deals out there. He'll be producing for years to come.

MALADROIT (Australia)
Maladroit is one of the most well known names in Australian breakcore. A no bullshit, prolific, straight down the line old school breakbeat assault producer in the vein of contemporaries like Killjoy, Epsilon and Noistruct.
Influenced by the original Australian underground party scene and with countless releases on labels around the world and an endless supply of self released CDr releases from the last 22 years. Maladroit is notorious for his plunderphonic, sample driven, breakcore sound (once called The Jive Bunny of breakcore). Mixing a variety of subjects and twisting samples into subverted punchlines.
Maladroit has had two highly successful b-side collections released on ENDE Records and was keen to play at AFTER MIDNIGHT

MISTER NOBODY (Finland)
Mister Nobody is a favourite breakcore producer on the ENDE roster. Having released with us a few times. He is responsible for the uncompromising EP "2 Songs To Punch Nazis To".

Mister Nobody has been with ENDE since almost the beginning. When we asked him for a set on AFTER MIDNIGHT he came up with something perfect for those who were missing the free party junglist sets of old.

CRACK LIPS (Australia)
Crack Lips is a young breakcore producer from the Ultravirus crew in Sydney. His modern style of slick plunderphonic mashup breakcore had a few heads bobbing in the ENDE office on the day.

After a callout and gauntlet throwdown by a new breed of Sydney producers sick of the lacklustre party scene in Sydney in local print media. We contacted them to offer our support and after listening to a number of their releases. Invited Crack Lips to come and play with us.

BLOODCLOT (USA)
Bloodclot is a young ragga junglist breakcore producer from California. After a handful of EPs on Core Collective Records, ENDE Records and one self released. He recently self released his first long player which is full of ragga jungle kickdrum breakcore and jaw dropping dark dnb stompers.

This was his first live appearance on a Podcast and was 90 minutes of foot to the floor high tempo breakbeats. A real highlight of the night!

MORE BLOODCLOT:

HAIZAI AUDIO (Japan)
Haizai Audio is a new type of breakcore producer. More like a noise producer really. less interested in dancefloor dynamics and more interested in endurance.

Haizai Audio's style of production is ultrafast, seamless and relentless attack of distorted sounds and samples and breaks. Like downloading hundreds of breakcore tracks at once and then shooting them out of a mini gun.

archive.org/details/haizai-audio-live-at-after-midnight-4

ATDT (Australia)
ATDT is the latest project from Australian breakcore pioneer and 8-Bit Recordings co-founder Deadcode. A noise fuelled, low bitrate, chiptune techno experience.

No releases yet to speak of but a handful of tracks on UK label Legs Akimbo compilations. A brief look inside a world of broken sound and malfunctioning beats.

archive.org/details/atdt-live-at-after-midnight-4

DJ ARSE N ALL (Australia)
One of the best breakcore mixers in Australia. DJ Arse n All is a master of cut ups and ultra sick cuts. Mostly out of the Australian scene these days. He was once one of the driving forces behind Black Lotus crew in Melbourne and a common DJ seen at both major and small underground shows. His style of cut ups inspired by the likes of Cassetteboy is something to behold.

He was unable to get us a set in time due to family and work commitments so we repeated his infamous set at Invasion Day in Melbourne in early 2007.

CHOLERA EPIDEMIC (USA)
Cholera Epidemic is a breakcore DJ from Midwest USA. A great fan of ENDE Records this was his first live performance for us and unfortunately had a few sound issues with the broadcast on the day. So this is in fact the first time that it's been available in it's original recorded format. Once again we apologise to CE about the issues and hope he enjoys the set finally being uploaded and sounding as it was intended.

DJ BUTTBABY (USA)
US DJ, sometime producer, lover of the core and archivist of fucked up music. DJ Buttbaby has been spinning tracks and making themed mixes and bending over backwards to promote and support the worldwide breakcore scene for more than a decade. A master DJ and mixer. This was his first AFTER MIDNIGHT set which followed mixes he did for ENDE Records a few years ago.
