(ENDE99) The Shredder - Beats Off (10th Anniversary Edition)

The Shredder is an Australian producer, DJ, radio host and promoter. Beginning in Sydney's breakcore and hardcore scene in the early 2000s playing shows with the KWS (Killerwatts) crew and co-hosting then eventually hosting the "Illegal Frequencies" Radio Show on 2serFM before relocating to Melbourne in 2005 and joining former colleague and promo partner Boris Otterdam - organising and playing shows there.

After a few years running and co-running breakcore parties. The Shredder was bitten by the dubstep bug and co-founded the "Sub Bass" dubstep, jungle and drum n bass parties which although started off small became wildly successful in only a few short years, going from illegal warehouses to filling out major venues.

Relocating to Far North Queensland in 2011. He now runs sound systems for parties of various genres there and still DJs everything from dub and reggae to breakcore and speedcore.

"Beats Off" was a limited run CDR of his breakcore and hardcore tracks. Limited to 20 copies that he self-released in Sydney in 2005. Originally only containing 7 tracks. It is re-released here at ENDE Records for the first time digitally with another 11 tracks, collaborations and remixes that are mostly previously unreleased or were only released on short run, locally distributed, long since lost CDR compilations.

All tracks by The Shredder. Produced and recorded in Sydney NSW Australia in 2004 and 2005. Except 17 by The Shredder and Noistruct. Recorded live at a party in Wrexham Rd. Windsor Melbourne VIC 2005. 18 remixed by Noistruct in Carlton Melbourne VIC 2006. Previously available on the Noistruct album "Never Trust A Rock Star" on 8-Bit Recordings.
