about

(ENDE67) Angry Teenagers Who Want To Kill People - Kinder Sechs

Cast your mind back.

2003. A special year in history. The year of the Ipod commercial and people bragging about owning them without yet being ironic. It was the year of the Christian rock band realising they could change lyrics or show some cleavage and pretend to be goths and become famous.

The Iraq war began, the first case of SARS was identified, scientists cloned a deer and both of the world's most important dicks died. Both Richard Simmons and Richard Crenna.

It was also the year that most of the pioneers of breakcore in Perth Western Australia were moving east to greener pastures. Disillusioned with a lack of interest and general struggle to put on breakcore shows in Perth.

Little did they realise that there were another group of breakcore producers right under their noses. Typical of most gems found in music scenes. They were too young to play live and had no idea the other producers existed.

But this all changed through a chance meeting on the old System Corrupt forum. And ATWWTKP and 8-Bit Recordings became fast friends.

ATWWTKP released their first album in 2003 as a limited run of CDRs. Re-released here in PAYL download for the first time in 12 years.

With a more raw and abrasive sound in comparison to future releases. "Kinder Sechs" is still the childish humour, abstract sampling, bizarre noise collages, experimental techno and brutal old school breakcore and fuckstep you've come to expect. 12 years after it's initial release. It still remains a great album and a great contribution to Australian breakcore.
