(ENDE61) Production Unit Xero - Inviting Spirits

Production Unit Xero aka Ramon Mills. Is an American electronic producer who has been making music since the early 2000s. Having moved around a few times since beginning, he is currently based in Portland Oregon.

He has self-released 10 albums to date through his own label Heterodox Records.

"Inviting Spirits" is a re-release originally on Heterodox Records in 2008, recorded and produced in 2007 and remastered in 2014.

In his own words it is a personal record:

"Inviting Spirits was written between the summer and winter of 2007. It tells a story of adjustment, excitement, new beginnings, and lose. This was my first collection of work as Production Unit Xero that was written completely in Austin"

An album of shoegazer-esque glitch and IDM. "Inviting Spirits" is a collection of mini-universes that are for the most part dreamily melodic and esoteric. Spacious, ambient pads and freeform recorded, erratic beats and rhythms as well as moments of faster and more dissonant chewed and rearranged glitchfucked breakcore beats.
Such is the case of "Somewhat Grey"

From art design to production. "Inviting Spirits" is an insanely brilliant and personal album.
It reminds you of the days of white label obscure IDM records. An Absolute masterpiece. A re-release we're very proud to have at ENDE Records.
