Idiot Lust was one half of Tasmanian breakcore duo "Sokuseki Men" who's album you can find on ENDE Records. But idiot Lust or Maus as he was known then was also by that time a seasoned veteran of experimental music and electronic noise.

"Works For Mr. Serious" is a collection of some of his best tracks with inclusions from the giveaway CDR with his zine of the same name "Idiot" and compilation appearances.

If you're a fan of clean amens and straight forward high tempo dance music. You've come to the wrong place. Idiot Lust cares not for syncopation or easily understandable dancefloor rhythms. This is classic noisy, erratic, ultra-distorted and confusing destruction of electronic sounds and beats. Breakcore in it's purest form. Although you'll have trouble identifying what is actually the "breaks"

Unlike some of his releases on God Rekidz and A-Klass Records. "Works For Mr. Serious" is a lot darker, heavier and not as sample driven. The opening cutup track "Lawsy Says Get Whooped" is one of those exceptions and is definitely a highlight.

Fans of power electronics or extreme noise would enjoy this.
