(ENDE46) Bonemagic - Hymns For Her

US death industrial/noise producer "Bonemagic" returns with another re-release from Mutant Sounds. This album "Hymns For Her" originally released in October 2014. Is a more varied beast than his first re-release EP for us "This Opaque Deadly".

Opening with saw wave heavy "Trace Amounts" it lumbers deviantly through "Summons Rest" until it gets to the Foetus meets Birthday Party dirge of "Strata Antimata". Definitely my pick of the record. Whispered threats and reverbed vocals over repetitive monotonous machine drums.

"Crisis and Crosses" brings the distortion up and again off-timed, erratic rhythms are used as a backdrop to another stagnant tempo confused "song".

"Hymns For Her" was originally the album and "This Opaque Deadly" the companion release. Here at ENDE we thought they worked better the other way around. Now though. You've had a real introduction to the world of "Bonemagic"

This pretty much covers the range of noise and industrial alchemy he indulges in....
