(ENDE29) Pulverized Fontanelle - Pocky Clip

Pulverized Fontanelle is the pseudonym of a well known American electronic producer. Conjuring memories of Converter, Needle Sharing and noise artists like Merzbow, KK Null, NON and early Autechre.

"Pocky Clips" is an album of odd time signature IDM beats, distorted analogue drum breaks, random noisy melodies and improvised antimusic.
Although it does contain a few coherent beat compositions, some that could almost be hip hop. It soon devolves into a more 4/4 driving compulsion of rhythms and machine-like scrapes and screeches of static and synth feedback.

At times it sounds like it's got something understandable in form and structure, but soon it either pushes the production too far with sounds that quickly break free of their composer and drowns the beats in swathes of analogue noise.

Both the freedom and experimentation of industrial noise and the pulsating rhythms of early 90s techno are merged here. Whether or not the whole thing was successful is your call. This album is for fans of true improvised electronic experimentation. Turn the machine on and coax or abuse sounds out of it until it sounds like something you find tangible. Where most producers would pull back and reign it in, Pulverized Fontanelle let's the machines runs wild and with no regard for volume or cohesion - creates a collection of truly organic, warped dark electronic techno tracks.
