(ENDE25) Sokuseki Men - Sosueus

As breakcore was exploding in major cities around Australia's mainland in the early 2000s. Crews like 8-Bit Recordings, System Corrupt, Killerwatts and Black Lotus were organising parties and releasing CDs and vinyls and contributing to the worldwide phenomenon domestically.

Little did they know across The Bass Strait. Said phenomenon had not escaped the attention of the island state "Tasmania". The Sokuseki Men were two friends who used their love of breakcore to culture mix an array of breakbeats, gabber kicks and bursts of noise and static to create an unnerving and sarcastic commentary on many different subjects. Usually as is the Australian tradition in breakcore - Australian culture and it's hypocrisies and idiosyncrasies were one of those subjects. Riding a fine line between taste and tasteless and celebratory and condemning.

"Sosueus" was sadly the duo's only release. Originally released on CD in 2003 through Lo-Fi Killers label and distributed by Sydney's own "System Corrupt".

Both members "Wheelsfalloff" and "Maus" also produced their own breakcore and music under these pseudonyms. But only as Sokuseki Men was the collaboration of both approaches fulfilled in the manner shown here.

This is the first time since the initial CD release sold out that it has been available online.
