(ENDE204) Solypsis - Exsanguination

Solypsis has been a frequent contributor with us here at ENDE. After a spin of new album "Exsanguination" it's easy to see why. No stranger to a cold, machine industrial sound and abrasive noise and beat destruction. Solypsis has chosen a more laidback and almost straight approach to what he does on "Exsanguination". With the title meaning "to drain of blood", Solypsis has stripped back and drained his usual sound to get a more minimal and bare interpretation of his usual thick, layered industrial noise.

At times coming across like early New Order or Art Of Noise with basic drum machine and barely audible noise stabs thrown in. Other times like early incarnations of EBM and coldwave dance. Simple saw melodies and natural drum patterns.
There's still a decent amount of atonal noise and confusion thrown in. But for the most part, this is the most accessible Solypsis album yet. For those who enjoy the experimentalism of early industrial and EBM.
