about

(ENDE199) Ohmega Sir - Anthropomorph

This is quite a catch for ENDE Records. We've been longtime fans of the Glaswegian breakcore/speedcore destroyer "Ohmega Sir" for quite some time.

Ohmega Sir is no stranger to disturbing and unsettling themed and viscerally challenging electronic music. Having released blisteringly noisy and intense breakcore and speedcore releases for labels such as Splatter-Kore Reckords, Viral Conspiracy. Legs Akimbo, NKS International and Braincore to name a few.

After about a year of asking/nagging/begging for a release from him. He's come through with not just the best of his releases but probably the best breakcore release for 2016!

"Anthropomorph" is a 5 track EP that leaves you with barely a moment to realise what's going on before the opening track "Early Rising Robot" thrashes out venomously with some of the most intense and well crafted, beaten sounds you will ever hear.

Searing the listener with droning ghost pads, indecipherable robotic vocal samples, morphed synths, unsettling soundscapes, confused and listless broken noises and machine like precision breakbeats, cruelly fed through a grinder of thick analogue distortion and abused effects. The result is 28 minutes and 1 second of digital destitution and brutally cold, erratic breakcore and murderously unrelenting speedcore

With no rhyme or reason and proving that real breakcore is still lying in wait, snarling and growling like The Gmork before revealing itself to feed periodically and laying waste to scores of clean, lifeless amen pretenders. Ohmega Sir has again pushed himself and challenged his peers to reach further into the darkest corners of electronic music.
