(ENDE197) Solypsis - Quixotic

Solypsis has been a great supporter of ENDE Records since it's beginning.
"Quixotic" is in fact his 15th release with us (including all projects under other names) and is also his last album with us for 2016.

Produced Unabomber style in 2 weeks in a log cabin in the mountains with intermittent power and no internet or phone access or even radio signals. It is one of his angriest and most purposely defiant albums to date.

The resulting series of freestyle, spontaneous recordings are divided between screeching, searing aural abuse, noise degradation and varying degrees of amelodic abstract techno and pounding, heavy hard beat industrial.

With no distraction and total isolation. The stimulus starvation leads to inevitable creative compulsion and an endless output of ideas and nothing else to do but record them.

"Quixotic" is actually made up of the first set of recordings Solypsis made in that first 2 weeks before he got proper internet. It's unusual and at times difficult. But when you isolate creative output - it's never boring.
