ENDE resident breakcore/junglist Enja Bergman's debut album "Atmospheric Jungle"

More in the vein of his recent jungle tracks than his earlier destructive and darker breakcore. "Atmospheric Jungle" is an album of varying degrees of junglist themes. From the most relaxed chillout to, dancefloor fillers to the darkest heavy breakbeat anthems.

Utilising the idea of making a full jungle album, rather than just a collection of tracks. Enja Bergman has created a 78 minute journey of different styles, tastes and rhythms. Along the way paying respect to early techno influences with notable and recognisable moments that hark back to a time when techno was more fluid and flexible than it's staunchly rigid "feed the drop" demand it has now.

As a result you see how even when using only the amen break as the backbone. That jungle and drum n bass can be melancholic, vitriolic, beautiful and ugly. From something to relax to, to something that demands you on your feet. Thrashing early breakcore junglist darkness to chillout ambient textures. Sometimes clearly separated and sometimes only hinted at in combinations.

I can't think of anything to compare it to. Definitely Metalheadz though. Bergman wears his jungle influence close to the heart. Here it's more obvious what a love he had for it than his previous singles with us.
